Members are welcome to store materials and projects at Protohaven; however, Protohaven has a limited amount of space, and thus material and project storage is limited to reserved areas only.
Any member leaving projects, tools, or materials in the shop overnight must reserve a storage area. A variety of storage subscription options are available on the Protohaven website at protohaven.org/storage.
The first night of any storage subscription is free. Storage fees for subsequent nights vary by type of storage, and are automatically charged to the member’s account.
Subscriptions for storage renew automatically on a daily or monthly basis, until the subscription is cancelled by the member. Monthly subscriptions are approximately half the cost of daily subscriptions. Members may not cancel and resubscribe to the same storage area on subsequent days in order to avoid paying storage fees.
At or near to each storage area is a clear vinyl envelope. Once a storage area is reserved, members must fill out a storage receipt with their name and order number, and place the receipt in the envelope to claim the storage area.
Projects, materials, or tools left outside of reserved storage areas or left without a receipt will be considered abandoned and may be discarded. Anything stored without a reservation will be billed for daily storage with no free day. Volunteer hosts check storage areas for reservations every night, and storage is randomly audited by staff.
