Education Coordinator (temporary, part-time)

Protohaven seeks an Education Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day administration and operation of our classes. Additional information can be found HERE. This position is 10 hours per week (flexible schedule) and pay rate is $23/hour. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until position is filled.

Membership Coordinator (temporary, part-time)

Protohaven seeks a Membership Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day administration and operation of our classes. Additional information can be found HERE. Board Members

Protohaven seeks qualified individuals interested in serving on our Board of Directors for a 3-year term fulfilling all expected responsibilities. Board members are charged with guiding the strategic planning process and in providing direction to achieve goals, supporting the Executive Director and other staff in these initiatives. Shop Techs 2023/24

Protohaven’s Shop Tech program is a one-year co-development program where participants build their design, fabrication, interpersonal, and shop management skills while helping shape and support our community. It is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about design, fabrication, and helping to lead a clean, welcoming, and functional community shop. Shop Tech Applications for 2022/’23 are CLOSED. Please check back in spring of 2023 for the 2023/’24 application.

Education at Protohaven is key to nurturing the makers in our community! We’ve spent the last few years building a top-quality makerspace that includes laser cutters, 3D printers, electronic and jewelry benches, and full textile, wood, machining, welding and metal shops. Each of those areas needs excellent teachers who are eager to nurture the maker in our members as they develop and discover skills.

Teaching Fellows

Protohaven’s Teaching Fellowship is a six-month program that is designed for makers looking to enhance their pedagogical skills. The Fellowship program happens twice a year and offers two seats each session. The Teaching Fellowship team plays a key role in creating a rich, supportive learning environment that brings value to students of all skill levels, while enhancing their ability and confidence as an instructor.
